Welcome to Independent Anywhere, we are so happy you are here! My name is Amanda La Bonte and I am an occupational therapist with over 16 years experience working with adults of all ages. My spouse and I started Independent Anywhere because we truly believe in the value of occupational therapy to help people be as independent as possible.
We provide occupational therapy services within the comfort and privacy of your home or workspace. Our services are designed to help individuals like yourself stay safe and independent at home for as long as possible; improve quality of life for caregivers and their loved ones; reduce the risk of injury at work; and help ease the transition once someone is no longer able to drive. We believe that all people should be able to live and thrive wherever they are.
My expertise as an occupational therapist includes the following certifications/education:
Doctorate in Occupational Therapy (OTD)
Board Certification in Gerontology (BCG) with American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) [currently the only Occupational Therapist with BCG in Oregon]
Executive Certificate in Home Modifications (ECHM) with USC's School of Gerontology
Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist I (CEAS) with The Back School
